Grant Watson was the father of Little Watson, or “Lit”, who once served as the Independence County Sheriff. “Lit” was the Master of the Odd Fellows Lodge, knew the law and was a Marine in WWI. The Watson’s were all interrelated. It is noted that on this photo Grant Watson has his hand on a Sears Roebuck catalog. Photograph was taken by W.H. Saffell and is part of the Rowe Collection at Old Independence Regional Museum.
