Iron-on Stars from the war years of the 1940’s
In the 1940s Frances Emblems, Inc. of New York manufactured these blue service stars. They were sold for ten cents. The packaging carried the message “Wear stars! For your loved ones serving our country!” These iron-on stars are part of the Independence County Historical Society collection at Old Independence Regional Museum.
