Batesville – Gentry’s Dog and Pony Show parade in the 1890s
This photo in the Powell-Guard Collection at Old Independence Regional Museum shows spectators lining the Main Street of Batesville for Gentry’s Dog and Pony Show parade in the 1890s. You can see that Main Street is unpaved in the photo. Decorated wagons from the show are being pulled by teams of horses and are driven by uniformed men.
