two horse-drawn sleighs – circa 1900
This photo from the Britton Collection at Old Independence Regional Museum shows two horse-drawn sleighs with men and women inside, covered with lap blankets. There is snow on the ground and you can see a stone building as well as a wood structure in the background. This is dated circa 1900 and it may have been taken on lower Main Street. The photo was given to the donor by Clyde McGinnis.
