The Pittman Collection at Old Independence Regional Museum is home to this file of prescriptions written by doctors and filled at Goodwin Drug Store in Batesville. The “file” runs from January 21, 1920 to February 18, 1920. The prescriptions are held together by string and a wooden dowel – creating a portable file. Some of the scripts were written to treat horses and cows. Doctor’s names include: Case, Johnston, Gray, Craig, Lawrence, Dorr, Walker (veterinarian), Hinkle, Dillard and Dickson.
