Five Enner-Jee Bread delivery trucks and four drivers

The second photo shows five Enner-Jee Bread delivery trucks and four drivers. There are two men in suits and the drivers are in uniform. The location is 1311 St. Louis Street. (Present day location of Kentucky Fried Chicken.) The trucks are all 1940 models. The 3rd from left is Dolf Bufford, 4th from left is McCurdy, 6th from left is John McKinney. John McKinney’s father gave the business to his son John. When John was drafted the elder McKinney took the business back. When the war was over John wanted the bakery back but the father would not give it back to him, so John moved to California and where he started a new bakery. Information about the photos and Enner-Jee Bread company was provided to the Museum by George Kealer and Taff York.
