The Powell-Guard Collection at Old Independence Regional Museum contains this photo of Col. Harry Rush on the Left and Burton Arnold Jr. on the right. Col. Rush of Chicago, had a short career as an Industrial Manager in Batesville after WWII. Arnold was a Naval Construction Battalion Veteran who had a long career as a Civil Engineer and later Sheriff of Independence County before retiring to Texas.
