Do you know that this is?

Do you know what this is?    This tool is part of the Wilson Collection at Old Independence Regional Museum.  This kitchen tool was called a “Cowboy Griddle” and was used for making pancakes over an open fire.  It opens up to allow the batter to be poured in and then fastens closed with a hook.
