little black dress (cocktail dress made of silk crepe and chiffon) 1945.

This little black dress is part of the Crouch Collection at Old Independence Regional Museum.  It is a cocktail dress made of silk crepe and chiffon.  It is dated to around 1945 and was worn by Frances Phillips Crouch of Batesville.  The label is for “Mollie Parnis, New York” it also has a labor union tag that reads AFL-CIO.
