This photo is from of the Rucker Collection at Old Independence Regional Museum. Lewis Canada was born on December 28, 1886 and died in August 1967. Augusta Canada was born October 25, 1892 and died November 6, 1972. They lived in the community of LaCrosse in Izard County with their children. They had two daughters Estell and Knoxie and two sons Kennard and Ewing. They earned money to raise their family by cutting wood for bolts that were later cut into staves. In the photo you can see ricks of wood in the background.
