A photograph of a postcard that was labeled as “Mill on Spring Creek, near Batesville, Arkansas.” It is also known as Ruddell Mill and you can see the millpond and spillway in the foreground. Two women are sitting on the stone dam and a railroad trestle can be seen in the background. The mill was owned by John Ruddell until his death after the Civil War. It was destroyed in a fire in 1939. This photo is part of the OIRM Collection at Old Independence Regional Museum.
