Family Day
Let’s talk about water this year at Old Independence Regional Museum’s Spring Family Day. We will have a re-enactor (Mark Blakely) talking about life on the White River 200 years ago, an abundance of crafts and water experiments, and free admission to the museum! All ages are welcome to this event, which is open from 10:00 - 2:00.

Day Camp
Join Old Independence Regional Museum to learn about Food Through the Ages, complete with plenty to eat, engaging activities, intriguing experiments, and loads of fun with your friends! Camp begins Tuesday, June 3 and concludes Friday, June 6. Times are 10:00 - 4:00 each day. Cost is $135 per camper. Membership has its privileges - members pay $121.50! Ages 5 - 18 are invited.

Join Ms. Bobbie Barnett as she explores the trials of being a young lady during the time of the Civil War. Learn etiquette, speaking with young men, “The Language of the Fan”, deportment, games, and character development. This event will be from 1:00 - 3:00 and is open to Girl Scouts Diamonds. Let your child’s imagination run free in this class specifically designed to help students create masterpiece Christmas gifts for their family members. You child will work with fabrics, create paper, craft cards, and/or use natural materials to showcase their talents. $15.00 per student. National Cookie Day

Author Event/Shareholders' Meeting
Are you a member of Old Independence Regional Museum? Do you have something to share with us? We will hold our annual shareholders’ meeting from 1:00 - 4:00 today with Dr. Brooks Blevins as our speaker. Dr. Blevins is a renowned researcher and author who will share his down-home wisdom on “How to Talk Ozark in Seven Simple Steps”.
In conjunction with our meeting will be our author event. Meet local authors and purchase their beautifully crafted books at the event. You can have your book autographed and buy extra copies of your favorite novels for friends and family - they make great Christmas gifts!

Aerospace Camp
By popular request, Old Independence Regional Museum has its 3rd annual Aerospace Camp July 23 - 25 from 1:00 - 3:00. Join Maj. Clint Howard as he introduces aerospace science and the aviation industry with a focus on STEM applications and career aspects. Learn as you experience engaging experiments to bring aerospace to life! $75 for all 3 classes. Contact us to reserve your spot; space is limited to 15 students. We will see you at the museum!
Cooking Class for Children
Join us as we dive into the joys of cooking with your children. Hands-on lessons will teach them simple tasks such as making a sandwich to complex casseroles and stews. We will have great lessons on charcuterie boards, food pyramids, great desserts, and more! Our goal is to make your child(ren) more self sufficient in the kitchen. All foods are provided. Class is open to students old enough to use a knife and potato peeler all the way through high school. $75.00 per student. Classes are 10:00 - 4:00 Tuesday and Wednesday.
